Dr. Tomás Reyes, Class of 2008
Tomás Reyes has had an extensive career providing support and technical assistance to Head Start and other early care and education programs. He has provided technical assistance to programs in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and throughout the continental United States. Tomás is currently the Governance Specialist for the University of Massachusetts, Donahue Institute, Region I, Administration for Children and Families, Head Start Quality Initiative (HSQI). In addition, he is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Wheelock College in the Department of Social Work, where he teaches Introduction to Community-Based Human Services, a course on contemporary concepts and strategies in the field of human services. Prior to relocating to Boston in 2005 to join the HSQI team, Tomás was Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Puerto Rico where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses. Tomás holds a Bachelors in Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Social/Community Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. He also holds a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Caribbean Center for Post-Graduate Studies (Now the Carlos Albizu University).
