Manny Martinez, Class of 2008

Manny Martinez was born and raised in a housing development in Mission Hill. Manny was educated at a private Jesuit middle school in Roxbury, Nativity Prep, and completed his high school studies at Boston Latin Academy. Manny then went on to study at Babson College where he was very active in the community. While at Babson College, Manny served as resident assistant, dance instructor, disc jockey and president of the student government association. After college, Manny became a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual in Wellesley, earning the recognition within the firm as one of its top 75 interns nationwide. After leaving Northwestern Mutual, Manny joined Pyramid Advisors, a hospitality company that buys, sells, renovates and manages the operations of hotels. Starting out in the payroll department, Manny worked his way up to financial analyst working for business development, asset management and the sales and marketing department. As part of a hotel management-training program, Manny entered hotel operations at the Sheraton Framingham. In the program, Manny rotated through each of the hotel's departments learning the foundation of the hotel business. Manny now lives in Jamaica Plain and is the first alumni to serve on Nativity Prep’s Board of Trustees.
