Prabal Chakrabarti, Class of 2008
Prabal Chakrabarti is currently the Director of Community Affairs at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Community Affairs supports broad access to credit and capital for low-to-moderate income people. Most recently, he has co-authored papers on Venture Capital in Secondary Cities and on Understanding Foreclosures in Massachusetts. Previously, Prabal was Deputy Director of Research at ICIC. Prabal also worked on Economic Policy in the U.S. Treasury Department and was a member of the U.S. Delegation to the UN Convention on Climate Change. He was a manager at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and has consulted to UNDP for its report Unleashing Entrepreneurship: Making Business Work for the Poor. Prabal has an M.S. from MIT, an M.A. from Oxford University as a Marshall Scholar, and a B.S. from the University of Illinois as a Truman Scholar. He is a member of the Inner City Economic Forum and is on the Board of Directors of the Asian Community Development Corporation.
